photograph workers in Cheltenham high streets

This guy works in my most favorite shop in Cheltenham. The shop is called rise and it sells everything from records and vinyls to reworked vintage clothing, to photography books, to cameras. Its such a unique shop with a chilled out vibe that  I found was perfect for this task. This dude was really into me doing the task darting about different places that would look good for me to photograph him in.

I wanted to get all of the people as though they were continuing with their normal activities as though I knew nothing was exadurated or forced.

I decided to hit my favorite shops on the high street for this task which ofcourse are charity shops! This one I found was all very blue, I told the woman that I love charity shops and I wanted to capture volunteers working as well as normal shop assistants purely because they take their time out to work for nothing, this lady was so up for it, asking Libby to pretend to be a customer buying a bracelet.

Scaramooshe would have been the best shop for me to get photos of no matter how poor quality the lighting was, unfortunately though, the assistant and manager weren't keen on the idea and insisted I only took a photo of the shop, I managed to sneak an assistant into the corner however couldn't get all of the fine decor in behind her without her noticing, you win some you lose some eh?

Alien here

A week in and i'm already stupidly homesick, So far it's all GO OUT GO OUT GO OUT, DRINK LOADS, PARTY... that's not me. I'm reminiscent of a summer on the Isle of Wight. Here are shots of my experiences here so far, and what I'm missing at home.
My bin merely holds alcohol boxes and used tissues

the dining room

The pill list. With a boyfriend suffering badly from cystic fibrosis, I at home help often, making up his morning pills, whacking his chest when hes struggling with lung ache, and attending all hospital visits to re-lay information to his parents because hes indenial of his illness. I'm here now, and this list is all I have.

wall of home

The kitchen has a view, much like the hill tops at home. That's my favorite bit so far...
I'm cystic fibrosis aware

massive head
This is Jack, the reason why i'm here, and the reason why I want to be there.

Cheltenham to Gloucester findings

The Gustav Holst museum where Gustav Holst was born, found after asking a very kind builder just down the road.

Pitville Pump room, another from the extensive list.

Beautiful houses of Cheltenham also another finding on the brief

In the quest to find Ye Olde English buildings, we came across a tudor built chippy. Couldn't say no.

fabulous quotes

My most favorite photo of the shoot. This pub was built in honor of Robert Raikes who founded the concept of sunday schooling and so, the first EVER sunday school was built just steps away from this pub named after him.

After finding out this story, we were greeted by many pictures, paintings, and facts about Robert Raikess.

So I felt this picture contributed well to looking at how the development of modern life has changed the look of Gloucester town centre. On the left you have an old fashioned tudor building and on the right, you have a selection of more modern buildings and shops. A juxtaposition between old and new.

The beautiful cathedral we were told to visit, cracking detail.
